5 Days of Leggings

If leggings are wrong, I don’t ever want to be right.

Last week on my Instagram page, I featured five different looks with leggings and wanted to share them here! I know I need to give the leggings a break, but we finished the fall semester before Thanksgiving and aren’t starting the spring semester until February 1, and with the pandemic still raging strong, I really have no use for dresses or pants with waistbands.

Golden Goose Dupes and Alternatives

If you follow Influencers and bloggers on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed a lot of them wearing the same sneakers with stars on the side that, to be honest, look like they’ve been worn and that most people would be horrified to wear because they look so grungy. These sneakers are by Golden Goose. And fun fact…they range from $480 to $600.

Thanksgiving Outfits – Team Comfort

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I’m so excited to be traveling home to Virginia for my Thanksgiving meal, and I plan on eating SO MUCH sweet potato casserole!

So the big question I have for you today is, are you Team Comfort or Team Dressy for Thanksgiving?

Amazon Hits and Misses

Happy Monday always seems a little contradictory and fake, doesn’t it? Nobody actually seems very happy about Monday, especially when you’ve had a great weekend. I only went to school for a day and a half last week due to Labor Day and Hurricane Dorian (which luckily only gave us some rain and wind), so today is going to be super rough for me.

So to make Monday a little less meh, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pieces from Amazon. At least cute outfits can make Monday a little more bearable.

Currently Loving: My Favorite Activewear Tops

I haven’t been working out very much lately. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll totally complain about my muffin top, but I haven’t been doing too much about it. Despite that sad fact, I lived in activewear and what I call “bum around” clothes all the time. I’d like to say that I just wear it during the summer and on weekends, but as soon as I get home from work, bring on that athleisure!

Stylin’ It Up at Work

No secrets here! This post may contain affiliate links that provide me with a small commission at absolutely no cost to you! Thank you so much for supporting Biscotti and a Ph.D.!

English professors have a pretty bad reputation for being on the opposite end of the style spectrum. I’ll never forget taking one of my best friends to a conference and her first comment being, “I’ve never seen so many clogs in one place.”

Joke’s on her because mules are in now 😜

But seriously, she wasn’t wrong. I try really hard to combat the frumpy, “out-there” English professor stereotype, and I think a lot of students are often surprised when I walk in on the first day (one student recently admitted that when I walked up to the podium on the first day of class she was thinking, “who is this girl who thinks she’s about to lead the class?” I love it and dread the day that people stop mistaking me for a student).

Tie Dye Jumpsuit for the Fourth of July

I’m interrupting my series on London to bring y’all a super comfortable and budget-friendly Fourth of July outfit! And yes, I totally get the irony of this post disrupting information on England 🙂

But everybody here in the U.S. is in Fourth of July planning mode. And we all know that planning for the Fourth of July means getting that comfortable but festive outfit ready for slamming down the hot dogs and watching fireworks!

The Comfiest Romper for Spring and Summer

April’s weather has been all over the place! I thought we had finally made it out of the cold weather woods, but my girlfriends and I visited Asheville this past weekend and I went from 80-degree weather and sleeveless dresses to flannel, boots, and an umbrella that wasn’t nearly big enough!

But, I think we’re finally set for some solid 70s and 80s! Hooray! It’s time to finally bust out the short rompers!
