I’m interrupting my series on London to bring y’all a super comfortable and budget-friendly Fourth of July outfit! And yes, I totally get the irony of this post disrupting information on England 🙂
But everybody here in the U.S. is in Fourth of July planning mode. And we all know that planning for the Fourth of July means getting that comfortable but festive outfit ready for slamming down the hot dogs and watching fireworks!
I have to be honest. When I pulled this jumpsuit out of the package (and even when I clicked “submit order”), I was fully prepared to send it back. I think tie dye always makes me think of the 90s, and I was also absolutely convinced that it would look like a train wreck on me 😂
Tie Dye Jumpsuit | Yellow Tank, old (similar) | Wedges, old (similar)
But after I put it on, I was totally sold. I’m guessing the biggest selling point for me was that it feels like wearing pajamas. It’s hard to hate that.
I styled this with a bright yellow tank top because I wasn’t even thinking about the Fourth of July when I put it on. I like the bright yellow contrast with the blue, but it will be perfect next week with a red tank top when I’m outside running around the yard and settling in for the fireworks!
And did I mention that it has pockets?! And is under $30? Yay!
I also paired the jumpsuit with three different shoes to see how it looked with wedges versus flat sandals versus my trusty ole Converse! I like how the wedges give it a more structured vibe. The flat sandals are perfect for a summery, casual look, but I actually also really like the Converse to “sporty” it up a little bit.
Basically, this is going to become one of my go-to summer outfits for whatever I’m doing this summer.
If you’re not feeling the tie dye, it comes in 9 other colors (there are a few black versions, but I’m not super sure what the differences are…), including a floral design. And for size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
And speaking of floral, even though the focus of this post is the tie dye jumpsuit, I totally took pictures in my garden so I could show off my daylilies. This is my happy place, so I’m not even sorry about it 🙂
I haven’t had a beach day yet, but this would also be a great swimsuit cover-up!
What are your thoughts on the jumpsuit trend or the tie dye trend? Do you dig them (get it? my students never like my puns) or are they a little too much for you?
