I’ve really been scoring some great skincare products from Influenster lately. I know I’ve posted about it before, but I can’t say enough good things about it! Be sure to check out that blog post here for information on what it is and how it works.
This voxbox contained two products – L’Oreal Paris RevitaLift Derm Intensives 1.9% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Replumping Ampoules and L’Oreal Paris RevitaLift Triple Power Anti-Aging Moisturizer. Keep reading to hear all about my experience!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
The names are definitely a mouth full! The goal of the ampoules – which I totally had to look up because I’ve never seen that word before – is to use them for seven days (half a tube in the morning and the rest at night) to give your skin a must-needed hydrating refresh. The arrival of this box came at the right moment because I was able to use it during spring break, so my skin was excited about some special treatment with additional hydration and attention.
I had bought and been using the L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives Hyaluronic Serum ($2 off with Target Circle until April 26!) prior to this and was loving how it made my skin look and feel, and I kind of did notice that my forehead wrinkles weren’t so obvious.
These ampoules are a little different than the serum I had been using and have just a wee bit higher percentage of hyaluronic acid in them. The one thing I prefer with the serum over the ampoules is that the serum (mentioned in the previous paragraph) has an eyedropper that gives you a bit of control over the amount you get on your face.
The ampoules, if you divide them into morning and night, actually contain A LOT of liquid, especially since they look so tiny. I eventually ended dividing them into three applications because it was literally running down my face when I divided it in half. However, it does soak in quickly (and doesn’t leave your face sticky).
Because of how much was in them, when I prepped for bed, one concern I had was that the hyaluronic acid would stain or bleach my pillow and sheets (I’ve had traumatic bleaching experiences from benzoyl peroxide, so I did a quick Google search just in case). Luckily, I had nothing to worry about.
I had every intention of making a video showing the opening and application of these little guys, but my bathroom needs a desperate renovation, and I didn’t want anybody seeing my blue sink (it matches the tile that you can kind of see in the background of the pictures above). To open the ampoules, you have to flick the top – I have no idea why – and then break the top off. I’ll be honest, I struggled with that a time or two. Be sure to save the lid because you turn it upside down and stick it back in the ampoule until the next application.
Now about the moisturizer. I struggle with trying new moisturizers because I’m such a fan of my CeraVe moisturizer, especially because it has SPF in it. I do like the L’Oreal one and really appreciate that it’s an anti-aging product. It does have a scent to it, but it isn’t so strong that it’s problematic, and the scent doesn’t linger on the face (I don’t want a product that smells all day long). It sometimes makes my face kind of greasy as the day goes on, which I seem to be noticing with a lot of moisturizers, but that’s better than having a dry face.
Overall, I enjoyed the opportunity to try these products, and I would buy the ampoules again as a special treat when my skin needs some extra hydration. I had used these products for almost a week when I had a lunch date with a friend who commented on how nice good my skin looked (that’s definitely a win!). I’m still using the moisturizer, but I probably won’t purchase another container (again, I’m just really committed to the CeraVe kind).
Have you been giving your skin any extra special treatment since all this social distancing started? Let me know what some of your favorite skincare products are in the comments!
Thanks, I FULLY agree. Believe it or not, I’m a guy and, I use it. Also, L’Oreal Pure Retinom Night Serum. I was raised by a single mom so, though a guy, my mom taught me all the “tricks” if skin care, lol. I would NEVER tell fellow guy friends, yet the complement me on my skin. Great review and very well written – your awesome.
