I’m finally back after being MIA for most of September! I’m not sure what is going on this semester, but I feel like I have zero time for anything other than lesson planning and teaching class. Anybody else feel like time is moving way faster than usual?

Amazon Hits and Misses

Happy Monday always seems a little contradictory and fake, doesn’t it? Nobody actually seems very happy about Monday, especially when you’ve had a great weekend. I only went to school for a day and a half last week due to Labor Day and Hurricane Dorian (which luckily only gave us some rain and wind), so today is going to be super rough for me.

So to make Monday a little less meh, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pieces from Amazon. At least cute outfits can make Monday a little more bearable.

Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion

Y’all, it’s September, which means it’s almost time for one of my favorite music events! My hometown of Bristol (I’m from the Virginia side, but if you’ve seen the Geico commercial, there’s also Bristol, Tennessee…if you stand in the middle of our main street, you can have one foot in Virginia and one foot in Tennessee!) is the Birthplace of Country Music (nope, it’s not Nashville!) and hosts the Rhythm & Roots Reunion festival every year.

Review: Cocktails in a Can

I know a lot of people are ready for pumpkin spice everything, but summer technically isn’t over yet. And while I’m absolutely ready for some temperatures that start with anything but a 9, I’m not quite ready to put my shorts and tanks away.

And here’s a secret…I love pumpkins on my porch, but keep them far away from my food and drinks.
