The Comfiest Romper for Spring and Summer

April’s weather has been all over the place! I thought we had finally made it out of the cold weather woods, but my girlfriends and I visited Asheville this past weekend and I went from 80-degree weather and sleeveless dresses to flannel, boots, and an umbrella that wasn’t nearly big enough!

But, I think we’re finally set for some solid 70s and 80s! Hooray! It’s time to finally bust out the short rompers!

I’ve wanted to post this romper for weeks, but school is winding down (just exam week left!!!!) and that means chaos all the time and having to prioritize grading over blogging. My office is a massive disaster – I feel so claustrophobic because of all the papers stacked up everywhere. But enough about me – time to focus on this cute romper and purse that are giving me all the spring and summer feels!

This might be a little too laid-back for some of you, but my style, especially when school is out, is focused on comfort. I hate going out in clothing that makes me feel uncomfortable or restricted. This romper is neither of those things! It also comes in 13 colors (stripes, solid, and even a palm print), so at only $19, you can stock your closet full of them! 🙂 Links to most items I’m wearing are available above!

And can we talk about this straw crossbody bag? I wasn’t expecting such great quality from a bag that I stumbled across on Amazon! My wallet, phone, and some other odds and ends (lipstick, keys, etc.) fit easily! The fun tassel on the front is the perfect final touch! It also comes in white/black and white/neutral.

I know a lot of women have long legs and long torsos, which makes rompers difficult (and uncomfortable) to pull off. I’m short-ish (5’4″), but this romper seems to have enough fabric to make it wearable for all you tall babes out there. I sized up to a large because I assumed this was a Chinese brand and those items tend to run a bit small. I probably could’ve pulled off a medium, but I don’t like things tight and this was loose without being too baggy. I was incredibly pleased with the fit!

Even though it’s cute on its own, I also love this romper paired with a long cardigan, especially this bright yellow against the black and white. And even though I’m a big fan of the tall wedges with the romper (despite almost breaking my ankle when I stepped on a pine cone in them), I also love pairing it with my comfy leopard espadrille mules for an even more casual look.

This romper also pairs well with a denim jacket if you need a long layer for cooler nights or cold restaurants/movie theaters. I prefer the brightness of the cardigan, but it’s nice to have an outfit that can be paired with a lot of different items.

Because of how comfortable this romper is (seriously, it’s like wearing pajamas), I definitely know that I’ll be wearing it all the time. And I can’t believe I forgot to mention that it has pockets! So when you wear it and somebody compliments it, you can make sure you scream “and it has POCKETS” like we all do…

What are your favorite outfits for spring and summer? Are you a romper fan, or is the romper just not for you?

Also, happy last days of classes to all my teacher friends and students out there! You got this!
