Back in November, my friend Hannah and I traveled down to Alabama for a conference. In between presenting and attending panels, we took a lot of time to explore this amazing city. I’m dividing up the posts to keep it from being completely overwhelming (I’ll be following up with a food post and a post on The Civil Rights Institute), so the first post is dedicated to the amazing backdrops in the city.

This was our final day in San Francisco, so we wanted to make sure we did the touristy areas that we’d missed.
Today was also CRUFFIN DAY.
On Saturday afternoon we had reservations for a catamaran tour in the Bay!
We were technically in San Francisco for a conference, and I procrastinated (see a theme?) and didn’t get us in the conference hotel. When we showed up at the conference hotel today for my presentation, I had to do a lot of apologizing to J who walked in, looked around, and then gave me the “are you kidding me” look. The conference was held at the Hyatt Regency at the Embarcadero Center area. And it’s beautiful. [This is not a sponsored post, but Hyatt, if you’re reading, I’d be happy to come and stay there *wink, wink*]
I’m a procrastinator and sometimes that gets me into trouble. You’d think at 32 I would’ve learned my lesson, but nah.

Today started with a reservation for breakfast at Kitchen Story in the Castro district. I have three words: fried. French. toast.
We saw so much on our first day that I had to split the day into three different posts (see first post here and my dim sum post here).
After lunch we headed toward Ocean Beach!
